United Nations Security Council (UNSC)

Agenda: 2011 Libyan Crisis and Turmoil

On the first of September 1969, Muammar Gaddafi became the leader and in the eyes of Western media, dictator of Libya. Though his regime redirected many funds towards social services and rebuilding infrastructure, many were against Gaddafi’s dictatorship and human rights abuses. In 2011, revolts spread across the country which were suppressed by Gaddafi’s military forces. The United Nations Security Council is bound to take action and prevent crimes against humanity now. In which ways is yet to be decided.
